That’s today.

For me, anyways.

Take a look at this shot from the “Gravity Falls” short “Mabel’s Guide to Fashion”.

“I don’t see anything out of the ordinary, Rosslyn/Glasses/Alexandra/Alex. Mabel digging though a bag, Grenda in a small victory pose, and Soos in a weird costume that looks like something that you would go for and would love to draw. Nothing too big.”

“Nothing”?

“NOTHING”?!?!

THAT “WEIRD COSTUME” IS EPICNESS THAT HAS BEEN MODELED BY ANY 80S TEEN GIRL’S DREAM GUY IN A COSTUME!! (Don’t ask how I know this.)

“Chillax! Why are you yelling about some silly costume?”

“Silly costume”?

“SILLY COSTUME”?!?!

ARRRRRRRRRRGH!!

•the following has been removed due to swearing•

That costume is a nod to the only unproduced “Gravity Falls” episode.

Which was basically going to be a half hour parody of “Labyrinth”.

“Uuh, what’s ‘Labyrinth’?”

What’s Laby-

“WHAT’S ‘LABYRINTH’?!”

AAAAAARRRRRRGH!!

Okay…I’m better now…

Grab your calculators.

The imagination of Jim Henson.

The wizardry of George Lucas.

The excitement of David Bowie.

Put ’em together, and what’ve ya got?

THIS!!

It stars David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly.

In order of appearance.

Jennifer Connelly (Sarah Williams, the heroine).

David Bowie (Jareth the Goblin King, the antagonist).

See the reference?

“Uh, no.”

“No”?

“NO”?!?!

Ugh. You foolish people who don’t know quality movies.

Fine. Look carefully at these pictures to find the reference. Winner gets a free sketch of their choice.
